That right there, I wouldn’t call it a diss. It’s the opposite, LOVE and concern for his blood brother. That sounds like me telling my brother when he’s tripping, and him telling me when I’m tripping. We “check” each other all of the time because we want each other to shine, flourish and live the most righteous and pain-free life that we can.

Im happy this came out, Im 30 and i was a mike fan for real but when he started changing it left us fans confused…I love mike, i was sad when he was killed but it also made me upset at him for going so far left with every thing, remember he sent the photos of himself to the newspapers with him in the sleep chamber and told the to use the words weirdo and wacky to discribe it when they wrote about it!!! Please read and research before assuming negative thoughts about someone. Michaeal did not set out to change his color. He had vitiligo and lupus. It all started happening around the time they did the pepsi commercial. If you know anything about those diseases, you would know that stress brings them to the forefront. As a major recording star Michael’s appearance was or would have been affected. He had to take drastic masures to conceal what was happening to him. He wasn’t trying to turn white. Vitiligo and lupus were turning him white and he could nothing about it. Michael had universal vitligo! NO only that, that burn left a massive scare in his head. He did not have hair on the top of his head. He had to wear weaves and wigs. He had to wear make up to cover the dark blotches. He did not tell anyone about the disease except his mother and older sister for fear that it would get in the media. After the disease, Michael really did become more reclusive, especially with women, for fear that they would see his body. LIsa Marie commented that after they were married, he would go to bed with full body make up. How sad! This song came out before Jermaine knew about the disease. ( I do agree, however, that they should have bombareded his estate and beat the hell out of him just to bring him back to his senses when it came to family – regardless to how dysfunctional they may be. Cause I’ve seen Janet in an interview confirm Mike did have that disorder (can’t remember the name but it starts with a v) and she said it was in their family and that he wasn’t the only one in the famly that had it. I’ve always believed Mike when he said he had a skin disorder and couldn’t go out in the sun, why the hell else would he be walking around with umbrellas all the time? HMMM! I remember interviews and comments made by Latoya and Jermaine over the years where clearly these certain family members were jealous of michael. they were always in his shadow and resented that to a point, in my opinion.

I beliieve that Jermaine Jackson is a hypocrit, and jealous of micheal’s success, that’s why jermaine decided to talk trash about micheal. actually Michael distanced himself from his whole family except for his mother. Janet had said on many interviews back in Michael’s touring days that she hadn’t talked to Michael for at least 2 years, and had never met his babies. Michael had no one to trust except for his mother. Too sad.
Michael was sickened by the behavior of his dad and brothers while they were tour. He often said that the brothers were just going through the motions, and that they were often cheatied on their wives. (even his dad did it) He hated it and wanted to distance himself from their “sinful/ devilish” ways. During those early days, he was a devout Jehovah’s Witness, and truly believed that sex outside of marriage would send you straight to hell and he wanted no part of that. He never hated his brothers, he just didn’t like their behavior and work ethics. And as for Jermaine, they WERE very close, but he often said that ” Jermaine was wishy-washy” you could not always rely on him because he would change his mind mid-stream” and do his own thing. (Jermaine was truly jealous of Michael for “taking” his thunder.

I remember when this song first came out (I think it was about 1991) and, Jermaine got on one talk show after another, smiling pleasantly, looking the interviewer in the eye and saying in a calm, level voice that this song was NOT about Michael but about gang members and street hoods who thought they were “bad” – in other words, he straight up LIED.
Later on, of course, he admitted that the song WAS about Michael but, that he only recorded it because he was upset that MIchael hadn’t spoken to him and wouldn’t return his calls for months. Gee, I wonder why???
I also recently read that Jermaine even tried to blame LA Reid and Babyface (the song’s producers), claiming that they had “tricked” him into making this song.
Then, during Michael’s 2005 molestation trial, Jermaine couldn’t say enough nice things about Michael. Then after Michael was acquitted, showed his true colors by trying to publish a nasty tell-all book about Mike for money, Then, when MIchael found out about it and blew up, Jermaine backed off like a snake and claimed that the co-author, Stacy Brown, “tricked” him into writing a negative book about his brother.
Now, after Michael’s death, Jermaine was crying crocodile tears for every news camera he could find but, is now trying to profit off his death and boost his own career with a “memorial” concert that he promoted and organized but, didn’t bother to ask either his family or the “celebrities” who has supposedly agreed to participate AND releasing his own version of “Smile” (which is nowhere near as good as MIke’s)

I couldn’t have said it better myself. The brothers and the father were all angry with Michael because he wanted to do his own thing. Michael was still living at home with his parents at age 30. Even then Joe was trying to tell him what he had better do. Michael didn’t want to do the Pepsi commercial, but he did it for his greedy ass brothers and father. Michael said that he had a bad feeling about the whole thing. They didn’t care, all they cared about was the 5 million dollars.
What did the brothers do with their money before Michael went solo? I am sure they had the same as Michael. Then they were angry about his success. It irritated me to see Jermaine lying to the media and the public, saying that he was Michael’s backbone. Yet you wrote an ugly song and a tell all (the lies you can) book about him. None of the family would be where they are now if it wasn’t for Michael. Sadly, they are tryin to cash in on his death just like Joe!
AGREED!!! Michael never turned his back on his family per se. He did deal with the BS and foolishness. They brothers were living lavishly, but were making any money to sustain themself. They NEEDED michael to caring them. Talented – Yes! Gutsy – NO!. Michael gave any money that the family needed to his mother, and she made sure that things were handled properly. Mike often said that his dad and brothers were blowing away their money left and right and that he wasn’t going to foot their bills. He saved the Havenhurst home that they call the “compound” by purchasing it when Joe almost lost it in a bad deal. Mike was a good person. Somebody had to have a good head in the family – my goodness!!!

It is not that hard to believe that Jermaine was jealouse of Michael ……. MJ was way more talented than all of the rest of his family. To me this shows where Jermaine’s heart was. I never heard this song back in the day. I don’t look at this as Jermaine being jelous of Michael in no shape or form. It sounds to me like a brother who is concern for his younger brother.
