The alternative was a lot more complex, but the original still takes the cake…digg me!?
This ending is much better then the original it end on a more hopeful message. In the theater ending I felt he did feeling hopeless.

I’ve found here the “I Am Legend” alternate ending which is available and working. This video is no longer available on youtube due to a copyright claim by Warner Bros, BayTSP
so the alternate ending ends with the movie going black?? that’s wack!!
that movie sucked. how he goin to broadcast for all those years thinkin he alone and they got a government compound in vermot or some where. plus would you think they wanted to find him sense he was working for them to get a cure. before the out break. will smith can do a lot better. Im still goin to see Hancock

neither ending works, but at least with the alternate ending we see that he gets what was so damn obvious — that he was being attacked because he was attacking the mutants. However, it was just too corny, the mutant suddenly calming down.
