HIP-HOP STARTED IN THE WEST BRONX?

You know, God bless Kool Herc. He’s sick and has no insurance whatsoever.
So, as you know, he is the Founder of Hip-Hop culture as we know it.

For all donations to Kool Herc, send to: Kool Herc Productions PO Box 20472 Huntington Station, NY 11746

Well, my friends. I have a rumor from the Kool  Herc section. I’m not from the Bronx, but I heard a rumor about the BX. I heard that Hip-Hop didn’t get started in the South Bronx like the BDP song says, but rather the West Bronx. Sedgwick Avenue and Cedar Park Avenue, where Kool Herc had that first jam at that is credited for starting this Hip-Hop thing was in the WEST BRONX. So, technically, shouldn’t it have been the West Bronx where it all began?

Anyway, please help Kool Herc. We want to keep him with us as long as we can. The news story can be found by clicking here.
