Dedication to the S-Curl, not the Jheri Curl
DEDICATION TO THE S-CURL
The 80’s was a time of experimentation. Back then, there were all sorts of crazy hair styles and whatever. But, at the end of the decade, this started to settle down quite a bit. The S-Curl emerged out of the greasy jheri curls of the early 80’s. It was still greasified, but not as crazy and Michael and Prince were doing. Frankly, it was more manly. I didn’t have the nerve to ever get one, but I know many that did. And they were cool. The girls liked that curly look, whereas I retained a peasy head. A curious thing has happened in recent history…the S-Curl has made a comeback. Check out the present day perps.
Ja Rule. Don’t have this in jail, bro.
Bobby V. You really should not be the poster child for S-Curl in google.
Soulja Boy. He brought the dye and combined it with the curl. Bad move like dancing with two left feet.
More after the jump with 50 Cent, Rick Ross and more…
Rick Ross. Is that a curl I see?
50 Cent. Really?
David Banner. I’m watching you, Banner. That looks super curly!
THE S-CURL KING.
Al B. Sure! He started all this mess. Pretty, MF!
When S-Curl’s go wrong.
Damn, Ne-Yo…you look crazy, Ne-grow.
I forgot his name, but he used to be on Fresh Prince. Here he looks like an unfresh king.
Don’t do the curl in 2011. Period.
