B.A.M. SPEAKS AGAIN! (Baby Bam of Jungle Brothers)

Some Pagan Shit!

Written by B.A.M. of PaganSociety

I must give Afrika Bambaataa the Master of Records high praise for being a true visionary, a Warlord , a King, a God and a Renegade of Funk.  I listened to Planet Rock and watched the first Global movement of a new culture take place.  It was a nuclear bomb that exploded on the airwaves with a Soulsonic Force.  Partly influenced by a German group called Kraftwerk it was futuristic and not once were the words Hip-Hop even mentioned in the lyrics!  The Zulu Nation took over the streets and the world with a sound that wasn’t Hip-Hop.  It was Electro!  Herculoids, Wizards,  Masters, Grandmasters, Gods and Blastmasters hypnotized the minds of the masses with The Pagan System Booming.  Creating a culture by mixing records that weren’t Hip-Hop.

“When a culture becomes redefined and exploited by someone who is not of the culture – it becomes something that it is not.”  ~ 2nen Bladez.~

Are you Hip-Hop?  Which came first the The Dj or Hip-Hop?  Which came first Pagans or religion?  Which came first gangsters or gangster rappers?   Gangster rappers celebrate gangsters,  the same way Religion celebrates Pagan holidays and Hip-Hop celebrates the Dj. Were the records that they played called Hip-Hop? No.  Can the Rap records you listen to be called Hip-Hop?  Sex, money, drugs, and vanity?  That’s some  Pagan shit!

Fresh out the box and outside the box.  Inspired by Afrika Bambaataa of the Universal Zulu Nation I left the streets for a minute to do the knowledge as a brother from the jungle.  I came across Rebels without a Pause, Renegades of Funk, Violators, gangsters, thugs, drug dealers, who possee’d up and rolled Mobb Deep under the Black Moon like an X Clan!  OutKast!  Public Enemies with a license to ill.  Some straight up Pagan shit!

This thing we call Hip-hop was built on some Pagan shit.  Whodini gave us Five Minutes of Funk.  The “Freaks Came Out at Night” and they were all Pagan. Wiln’Out,  beef’n, bumrushing, settin it off, drugs , sex , house parties , punk rockin’, orgies, dust, Kurtis “Blow” itchin’ for a scratch.  All that shit is Pagan. Worshiping the many God’s of Hip-hop-which is polytheistic- is Pagan. Indulging in sensual pleasure like sex, drugs and strip clubs that’s Pagan.  Everything is Pagan.  “Fuck what you Herd!”…

Essay from “The Pagan Chronicles”

What is a Pagan Society?
It’s odd how people could refer to Pagans as “devil worshippers”.  That’s a very old and antiquated mentality considering the times we live in now. A time when Sex and Violence is a part of our daily bread like Salt and Sugar.  A person can listen to a record about getting high,  lookin’ fly , doe or die and getting all the strippers in the club but when they hear the word Pagan, it’s devil worshipping.  If the devil represents all things evil and not good for ones spiritual health, then I guess having all the above mentioned is something righteous because it’s in style.  Instead of chasing the Rabbit in the Moon by that I mean instead of using words we were programmed to say in response to something that sounds dark why don’t we wake up and take a look around at the kind of Society we live in.  A Pagan Society.

OK…… So….. What the fuck are you talking about? Did I miss something or is this esoteric diatribe masking some issue outside of the pictures that came out. If you are gay, be gay. Don’t try to mask it in this neo-metaphysical nonsense.

Hip Hop is demonic, and satanic, and yes; pagan! Everything he’s saying is right…Although it started out as a voice for the people (blacks and hispanics) throughout the urban communities and ghettos of the united states and across the globe…it has now been exploited to make bafoons out of us, and monkeys…and the glorification of conditions many of us would like to escape…the things that we wished to escape, is now glorified, and every child of age to understand the music, wants to personify…But a day is coming…when all this is going to change! every thing comes in cycles…Hip Hop (rap music) once of a positive nature…it helped gang violence cease (to a degree, then the crews and clicks, and clans came)…it was a combination of various art forms (the dj, the graff artists, the b-boys, and the rappers)…the state now is horrible…But a day is coming, the day of change is approaching…and the world will see it! you see now, there’s no more ideas, so you have snoop trying to be t-pain, and t-pain, trying to be roger troutman, and all these coon, porch monkey songs…chain hang low, supaman, pop, lock, and drop it, wipe me down…no substance, no creativity, no lyrical content or importance…garbage!…But the day is coming….watch for the year of 2008!…NEW YORK CITY, PHILADELPHIA, BALTIMORE…stand up for what’s about to come out from you….and the world is about to be conquered by when the conquest begins!….and all PAGANS will suffer!

he is intelligent but justifying hip hop to do his devilishment.he came from a conscious circle to calling himself a pagan and wearing eyeliner and blush?!stop…he knows better.thats why he presented the info in the manner that he did.and that those statements were very craftily put

that man can do what the hell he pleases; that dose not mean I agree.
In his world by his definition every thing is pagan; that is is perception at work
how ever skewed it is. I say; no man unless he staring in a feature film or a 80’s
rock band should in the lip stick section.

The funny thing is if Baby Bam never was dressed in that gay attire,I probably would have never read this blog. I am a true hip hop fan and I am very curious to why a member of one of the original hip hop group’s, was looking very suspect. I don’t think there is any excuse for what he was wearing personally, but I will say that he has made a very important point. All of you so called rappers are representing paganism. I myself as a dj of the crap that is out now also am guilty for playing this sometimes while I am watching people go crazy over the dumbest songs, I wonder if “homies over hoes” was a real song, would niggas be doing the “homie”(yeah the would). Serious though, take a serious look at what we are representing everyday while this country is being destroyed. We a living in the days of Revelations .People always say the Bible has been tampered with. I feel like hip-hop(rap music) is the last book of the bible..Why, because the Bible is stories by prophets who talked about life on earth inspired through God(Yah). We already know hop-hip is being tampered with Now look at your story that you tell through hip it to the other books in the Bible..NOW how much tampering are you doing to that last book…..

Interesting post. Maybe everything is Pagan – since nothing is how it was in the beginning. But things change and everything evolves to represent the world in which it exists. If that is Paganism – then who’s to say there should be some negative connotation associated with the word “Pagan”?

In the case of hip-hop, the question becomes … has the evolution of hip-hop been positive or negative? The comments here seem to believe hip-hop has changed for the worst. However, I think these opinions are based on a very limited and commercialized view of the music and culture. In my opinion, the underground is stronger than ever.

If all you know is the radio and videos on MTV, what BAM would call the “Sex, money, drugs, and vanity” shit, then hip-hop is “pagan” and has changed for the worst. But if you pay attention to the underground, hip-hop is just as intelligent and conscious as ever. While this still may be considered “pagan,” that doesn’t mean it’s negative. It just means that things continue to evolve. Either way, pagan or not – hip-hop is changing for the better … if only you know where to look for it. PEACE.

People are frighteningly narrow-minded. It makes me so sad. Why on earth should it be a problem for a man to wear make-up? What are the reasons? There are PLENTY of straight men in the world who like to be outlandish and even feminine in their style and appearance. This false idea of masculinity that breeds hatred disgusts me. Open your fucking head up. You are so blinded by your dislike for something this society has taught you to fear that many of you cannot see the actual message being said here.
