With the heavyweight division on a stretcher, I think we can safely say that people like Mike Tyson are actually good for the sport. He put bodies in seats and he was exciting to watch. Here is a dedication to one of the greats in the sport of boxing. (Shout out to Cus D’Mato.) [More after the jump]

He was the kind of boxer people flocked to see in the hopes someone could beat him. Buster Douglas pretty much took the wind out of his sails. My Gawd was he ever a gladiator though! Personal life a little rough, but what the heck. Personality issues probably created his raw agression in the ring and his problems outside. He was somewhat like a black Jake LaMotta.
Mike Tyson is such a jerk! Did you see him on Oprah last month, it was totally ridiculous
