Two men and a juvenile are accused of digging up a corpse, decapitating the body and using the head to smoke marijuana, according to court documents.
Matthew Gonzalez and Kevin Jones have been charged with the misdemeanor offense of abuse of a corpse, said Scott Durfee, a spokesman for the Harris County District Attorneys Office.
According to documents filed in the case, Gonzalez, Jones and an unnamed juvenile on March 15 went to an Humble cemetery, dug up a man’s grave, left with the head and turned it into a “bong.”
Gonzalez told authorities about the incident Wednesday, and showed officers the defaced grave, including a 4-foot hole. Because of a heavy rain, officers were unable to determine whether the casket or the body had been disturbed.

COLUMBIA, Md. (WJZ) ― When police arrived at her Columbia home on Monday, they thought 81-year-old Alma Payne was dead. Her 83-year-old husband, Calvin Payne, sat on a toilet holding a knife.
“He attacked her with the hammer. I think the neighbor heard her scream and I think she was able to get to the phone and call 911 to say he’s killing me with the hammer and that’s all she said,” her brother, David Figueroa, said.

BERLIN (AFP) — In the latest case of apparent infanticide to shock Germany, police said Monday they have found three dead babies in a freezer and arrested a woman believed to be the children’s mother.
Police said the woman’s grown-up son and daughter discovered the tiny corpses — believed to be newborns — on Saturday evening when they were looking for something to eat when their parents were out.
“They both decided to get a pizza and realised that the freezer had to be cleaned up because it was full of out-of-date food… It was then that they discovered the first bag,” police investigator Herbert Fingerhut said.
The two waited for the parents to come home at around 7:00 pm (1700 GMT) on Sunday from a weekend in the Black Forest before confronting them.
